i'm actually blogging in the summertime. wow. this is pretty weird. i should be fed up with school and want nothing to do with it. but i have to admit... i think i'm addicted to blogging. =]
but the real reason i wrote this post was to inform everyone that Internet Explorer 8 is the best thing ever!!! i just downloaded it a few minutes ago and now i'm in love with it. it's amazingly fast and the download is really easy.
i must leave now. harper's island will come on momentarily. farewell.

hmmm...
ok so my last post didn't work as good as i wanted it to... =[
i translated it back and it didn't say exactly what i had said first.
but i guess this is just a lesson that the French and English languages are not as similar and i thought they were.
but it is similar enough that you are very likely to know what what it says.
well i hope you like it...

Translate THIS!!!
this post is going to be in french. do you know what it says???
translate it. i would love to see who is smart enought to do it. =]
Saviez-vous que je suis partie en français? En fait, je suis un quatrième français. Ma mère m'a dit il ya quelques années. Je trouve cela complètement incroyable. My favorite phrase en français: Je t'aime. Saviez-vous?
comment. i would love to see if you got it write.

twilight
here are some of my favorite twilight quotes. new moon, eclipse and breaking dawn will come later:
"When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your expectations, it’s not reasonable to grieve when it comes to an end." ~Bella Swan - Preface - pg. 1
"I felt a surge of pity, and relief. Pity because, as beautiful as they were, they were outsiders, clearly not accepted. Relief that I wasn’t the only newcomer here, and certainly not the most interesting by any standard." ~Bella Swan - Chapter 1 - pg. 22
"So, did you stab Edward Cullen with a pencil or what?" ~Mike Newton - Chapter 1 - pg. 25
"It’s a good thing (Carlisle)’s happily married. A lot of the nurses at the hospital have a hard time concentrating on their work with him around." ~Charlie Swan - Chapter 2 - pg. 37
"I vividly remembered the flat black color of his eyes the last time he’d glared at me — the color was striking against the background of his pale skin and his auburn hair. Today, his eyes were a completely different color: a strange ocher, darker than butterscotch, but with the same golden tone." ~Bella Swan - Chapter 2 - pg. 46
"I wasn’t interesting. And he was. Interesting… and brilliant… and mysterious… and perfect… and beautiful… and possibly able to lift full-sized vans with one hand." ~Bella Swan - Chapter 4 - p.79
"The wasting of finite resources is everyone’s business." ~Edward Cullen - Chapter 4 - pg. 83
"What if I’m not a superhero? What if I’m the bad guy?" ~Edward Cullen - Chapter 5 - pg. 92
"You scared me for a minute there. I thought Newton was dragging your dead body off to bury it in the woods." ~Edward Cullen - Chapter 5 - pg. 99

My Dream
this is the story i was talking about in my earlier post...
I once had a dream that I was walking on a road, and the road was rocky and sharp on my feet. And around the road, nothing. Nothing but bare land.
Then, a gleaming figure came toward walking over to me. I couldn’t make out a face, but I knew at once it was the Lord. I got on my knees and started crying. The Lord came to me. No words ever came from His mouth, and yet He spoke.
“Please rise. You are safe now. Eat from this bread and drink from this cup, for I know your needs.”
After He had spoken, I felt very hungry and thirsty. I took the items from His hands. I took a large bite of the bread, yet it never grew smaller. I took a large drink from the wine, yet it was still full to the brim. The Lord looked at me and smiled. He spoke, and once again His lips never moved,
“Come, My child. The road has been hard on your feet. You will not last long here.”
He took my hand and we walked. As we took our first steps, I noticed a change in the landscape. There were rosebushes and flowers growing in the once-barren land. The rocky surface I had been walking on a moment ago turned to gold. I looked behind me and saw where the two paths met. I saw where I had first met the Lord. I cried once more. Then I looked ahead and saw the highest of all mountains. And the path I was on was leading right to the summit of that mountain. But before the mountain, right in front of me, I saw the lowest of valleys. My happiness turned to anger. How could the Lord do this to me?!? I began looking for an escape. There! I saw it. There was a break in the rosebush ahead. I dove through quickly. The Lord called out my name through His unmoving lips. The words spoke to my heart but I didn’t turn back to Him.
I was now crouching in the middle of the bush, scratched and bleeding from the thorns. I looked through to the other side. What I saw was beautiful! There was a green meadow with flowers and a brilliant sun. I climbed through the bush and lay on the grass. After a few minutes I got up and started running around. This was great! I soon found I was alone. It was then that I realized what I had done. My Lord had given His all to me and I had run away. I turned back and ran to the bush. But the meadow had mind of its own. The grass turned to quicksand. I was up to my ankles in it. I got on my knees and prayed. But I was sure the Lord couldn’t hear me. He had probably gone on His way. I was crying now, and sinking fast.
But a firm, nail-scarred hand reached out from the bushes and I grabbed hold and held on for dear life. With one strong pull I was out of the bushes and next to the Lord again. The Lord hadn’t left me at all! He waited there for me to cry out for help. I embraced Him and took His hand once more. We walked on our path to the valley. Only this time I wasn’t scared. I had my Lord next to me and nothing was going to pull me away from Him this time.

my inspiration
writing has become easier for me lately. although my inspiration for photography has grown less and less, i seem to be more inspired to write than ever before.
my best (completed) writing so far is a story i wrote earlier this year. when asked to write a story for my youth class, i wrote only what i had to and nothing more. but i was later inspired to write another story, this one better than the first. my inspiration seemed to be the famous story Footprints, as my story started out in the same way Footprints did. I will include it in a post at a late date.
my life impacts my writing more than it probably should. any major event in my life has inspired some kind of story. my recent stories have all had something to do with guys. hmmm... i wonder why...
i hope to get started in photography again soon. spring is coming soon and is one of the best seasons for picture-taking. winter is wonderful as well, but i have wasted many of my chances for taking beautiful pictures.
